Another winner!

30 Sep

Tonight’s dinner was, once again, brought to you by the “5 Ingredients, 15 Minutes” mag I posted about yesterday.  These magazines are so winning (that’s right, takin’ ya back to March 😉 ).

Tonight we whipped up a batch of turkey sausage skewers, which quickly turned into turkey sausage stir fry once I realized the skewers were too big for our grill pan – whoopsie!  The “stir fry” was super easy, and was comprised of 3 turkey sausages, cubed yellow peppers and cubed zuchini.

On the side, some cheesy polenta.  Polenta is one of my new favorite side dishes.  It’s rich and creamy, and super easy to make:

Bring 3 cups of water to a boil

Slowly whisk in a little more than 3/4 cup yellow corn meal and 1/2 Tsp salt

Cook on low for 15 mins, stirring frequently

Remove from heat and add 1 Tbsp butter and cheese of choice

(This makes the perfect amount for two people)

Tonight, we mixed in some Gorgonzola, which was inspired by a Giada recipe that we adore.   It was faaantastic!

Izzie thought so too…

One of these days, we’ll work on that whole obedience thing… (Disclaimer: I do not actually allow her to lick my plate; she just gets really really close).
