Pumpkin Spice Granola Bar!

Last night was a fun night.  Nick and I met up with some friends for drinks and a to-die-for seafood dinner at Glenn’s Diner.

Glenn’s was featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives a few years back, and  Nick and I have made several trips there.  They feature lots of fresh fish cooked in innovative and delicious ways.


I enjoyed the Rainbow Trout pan friend with pecans and pecan butter.  It was delish!

After dinner, Nick and I headed home because we had another early morning this morning.  We wanted to head down to watch the Chicago marathon, so our alarms got us out of bed at 6:45!

I completed the following workout, which I pulled from this blog, via this blog.  I modified it a little bit 🙂



This was a great workout, and I was glad to get some hill work in.  Seeing as Big Sur is a notoriously hilly course, I have a feeling hill workouts and I are going to become best buds this winter 🙂  Training in Chicago (flat) in the winter (freezing) will mean a lot of indoor training!

As I was leaving the gym, I was trying to brainstorm breakfast but was coming up with nothing.  I knew I needed something quick but couldn’t, for the life of me, figure out what I wanted.  Apparently the gym read my mind, because they had a basket of these by the door.

Pumpkin spice on the go?!  Yes, please!

I enjoyed this bar while typing up this post, and am now about to head out the door to cheer on the runners!
